District Maps

Following the 2020 Census and the redistricting process, the Texas Legislature adopted new maps that changed many voting district boundaries at the federal and state levels.  These new district boundaries were in effect beginning in 2022, at which time new voter registration cards were mailed to registered Texas voters.

To find out which districts you now live in and who represents you, you can look at your voter registration card, or you can fill in a form on the Dallas County or Collin County Elections Department websites.

The Richardson City Council appointed the Plan Commission to serve as the District Boundary Commission, and at their April 25, 2022 Council meeting, adopted the Commission’s recommendations.  All Richardson voters vote for all places on the City Council, but four of the places have residency requirements for candidates, determined by the boundary lines.
