CITY OF RICHARDSON BOND

All voters in Richardson will be vote on a $190 million City of Richardson bond proposal.


The proposed bond package is broken into five (5) propositions to be voted on individually. The propositions include: 

  • Proposition A: Streets ($102 million)
  • Proposition B: Public Buildings ($64 million)
  • Proposition C: Sidewalks ($8.5 million)
  • Proposition D: Drainage ($8 million)
  • Proposition E: Parks ($7.5 million)

TEXAS STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

All voters in Texas will vote on eight proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution:


Proposition 1: The constitutional amendment authorizing the professional sports team charitable foundations of organizations sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association or the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association to conduct charitable raffles at rodeo venues.



Proposition 2: The constitutional amendment authorizing a county to finance the development or redevelopment of transportation or infrastructure in unproductive, underdeveloped, or blighted areas in the county.


Proposition 3: The constitutional amendment to prohibit this state or a political subdivision of this state from prohibiting or limiting religious services of religious organizations.


Proposition 4: The constitutional amendment changing the eligibility requirements for a justice of the supreme court, a judge of the court of criminal appeals, a justice of a court of appeals, and a district judge.


Proposition 5: The constitutional amendment providing additional powers to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct with respect to candidates for judicial office.


Proposition 6: The constitutional amendment establishing a right for residents of certain facilities to designate an essential caregiver for in-person visitation.


Proposition 7: The constitutional amendment to allow the surviving spouse of a person who is disabled to receive a limitation on the school district ad valorem taxes on the spouse’s residence homestead if the spouse is 55 years of age or older at the time of the person’s death.


Proposition 8: The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for an exemption from ad valorem taxation of all or part of the market value of the residence homestead of the surviving spouse of a member of the armed services of the United States who is killed or fatally injured in the line of duty.

Dallas County:

  •  Sample ballots for Dallas County residents of Richardson are available here on the website of the Dallas County Elections Department. 
  • On that page, you can click on "Voter Look Up and View Your Sample Ballot," then enter your name and birthday (or Voter ID number from your voter registration card) to view the actual ballot you will see when you go vote. OR, you can click on "Review a Sample Ballot" to see a generic ballot with all Dallas County races on it. 

Collin County:

  • Voters who live Collin County can view sample ballots here on the website of the Collin County Elections Department. 
  • To view the sample ballot containing only those propositions you will vote on, you need your precinct number. You can find your precinct number on your voter registration card, or you can look it up using Collin County’s Voter Registration Search page.

IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING
IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING

Early voting by personal appearance is conducted by your County Elections Department. Early voting begins on October 18th and will end on October 29th. 


Schedule:


As shown in the table below, early voting times are different for the two counties:


  • Collin – Polling locations will be open for voting from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 through Friday, October 22, 2021. Polling locations will be open for voting from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 through Friday October 29, 2021.
  • Dallas – Polling locations will be open for voting from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 through Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Polling locations listed below will be open for voting from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 and Friday October 29, 2021.

On Election Day itself (November 2nd), polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 


Early Voting Locations:

  • Dallas County – Richardson residents who live in Dallas County may vote early at any early voting location in the county. Early Voting polling places will be available soon.
  • Collin County – Richardson residents who live in Collin County may vote early at any Early Voting location in the county. Early voting information is available on the website of the Collin County Elections Department.

On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 


Dallas County – Richardson voters who live in Dallas County may vote on Election Day at any Vote Center in Dallas County.


Collin County – Richardson voters who live in Collin County may vote on Election Day at any Vote Center in Collin County. This page also indicates wait times at each Vote Center.

The last day to request an application for a ballot by mail in the November 2 Election is October 22, 2021. That is the date on which your application must be received, not postmarked. To print an application for a mail ballot or submit a request online, go to the Secretary of State's website
