On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the League of Women Voters of Richardson sponsored a candidate forum for House District 102. The moderator was Ruth Ellen Heaton.
Questions were submitted via email and/or at the forum by members of the public and screened for repetition and inappropriate content according to our
Candidate Forum Process.
Candidates’ biographies can be viewed
here.
Candidates listed in ballot order are: Bonnie Abadie (R) and Ana-María Rodríguez Ramos (D) .
Due to unexpected circumstances, the candidates did not appear on stage together. Rather, they were asked the same questions individually in two consecutive sessions. For an explanation of this change in format, see the attached
press release.
