Key Dates in March 2023  
  • April 6 - Last day to register to vote in the May 6 Election
  • April 17 - LWVR forum for RISD D3 and P6 candidates, 7 p.m., RISD Admin Bldg Auditorium
  • April 20 - COR forum for COR Contested Candidates Mayor and P1, P3, & P5, 7 p.m., Bank of America Theatre at the Eisemann Center
  • April 24 - First day of early voting in the May 6 Election
  • April 25 - Last day to apply for a Ballot By Mail ('received by' date)
  • May 2 - Last day of early voting in the May 6 Election
  • May 6 - Election Day for Local Elections
  • May 6 - Last day for County Election Office to receive a completed Ballot By Mail 

 
Forums for COR and RISD Candidates
 

As always, visit the League of Women Voters of Richardson's website and Facebook Page for factual, unbiased information regarding the upcoming May 6 Election.  The sites will continually be updated as more information becomes available.

Save the date - City of Richardson (COR) Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters of Richardson and the Richardson Chamber of Commerce will co-sponsor a forum for the contested candidates running in the COR May 6, 2023, Election.  The Mayor and Places 1, 3, and 5 are contested.  The forum will be in-person:
         Thursday, April 20, 2023
         7:00pm
         Bank of America Theatre in the Eisemann Center
         2351 Performance Dr, Richardson 75082


Save the date - Richardson ISD (RISD) Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters of Richardson will sponsor a forum for candidates running in the RISD May 6, 2023, Election.  On the ballot for Richardson ISD will be District 3 (you must live in District 3 in order to vote in this election) and Place 6 (all residents living in RISD may vote in this election).  Both races are contested. The forum will be in-person:
Monday, April 17, 2023
7:00pm
Richardson ISD Administration Building Auditorium
400 S Greenville Ave, Richardson 75081
       
Send questions to be asked at the forums
Do you have a question you'd like the candidates to answer at the forum?  Click here to submit your question(s).  
  • Questions that are sent in before the forum are given the same consideration as questions submitted at the forum.
  • Questions will be screened according to League of Women Voters of Texas Guide to Candidates Forums.
We will accept questions until the time of the forum.

 
Get ready for the May 6 election
 
There will be a local election on May 6, 2023.  Depending on where you live, some of the following will be on your ballot:
  • City of Richardson Mayor and Council Council Places 1-6
  • City of Richardson bond to raise enough money to rebuild City Hall that burned
  • Richardson ISD Board of Trustees Single-Member District 3 and At-Large Place 6
  • Plano ISD Board of Trustees Places 4, 5, & 7
  • Collin College Board of Trustees Places 1, 3, & 5
  • City of Garland Mayor and City Council Districts 3, 6, 7, & 8
  • City of Dallas Mayor and City Council Places 1 through 14
For the latest information regarding the May 6th Election, keep checking LWVR's website.  The website is updated as more information becomes available.  About April 5,  VOTE411.org will be live with the candidates' responses to the League's online Voters Guide.
 
NOTE:  The number of vote centers in Dallas County for the May 6 election has been reduced.   Before you go vote, check to make sure the location where you want to vote is open.
